a friend told me people here are more friendly and helpful
which is a huge plus when you are not the greatest at scripting and will have question from time to time

At the top of the website is a Home | Forums| ServUO Repo | UO Archive | Chat(IRC) | Members

Click on ServUO Repo, It will take you to ServUO GitHub, On the right side of the github you'll see Download Zip
https://github.com/ServUO/ServUO/archive/master.zip

You do not have to be a member of anything to download the ServUO files.
You can surely find help with scripting in the script support section of the forums
