Lady Luck Went nuts with tokens

So I have the lady luck scripts on my server and it went nuts with a winning ticket. 1Billion tokens instant economy splat. unknown.png
 
From the look of it, the ticket # 987457 would mean there were at least that many tickets purchased by players. If I remember correctly, each drawing starts off with ticket #1, so a 1 billion token win would be possible with over 900k tickets purchased.
 
Whoa! did you find out who was suppose to have that many tickets? If they do have that many I would say they figured a out a bug? :)
 
Well, that would mean someone has found a massive token exploit to have 1000 tokens per ticket and buy 987,000 of them. That would cost 987,000,000 tokens to win 1 bill something tokens. Something Wierd has gone on but Damned if I can figure out who and what has happened. I do know that I have a donation currency that costs 1 dollar per 1 unit of currency but I give people the chance to use tokens to buy the currency for special items so they don't have to donate if they cant afford it but they can still enjoy some nice items. And the stone I had set up 100k tokens for $1 of special currency...someone bought 1100 of them.... I'm gonna ban someone ~!!!! Lol
 
I look at any "gambling" type currency or systems very cautiously. Even the real UO casino scripts that are included in ServUO. I have not even touched them yet. I need to spend plenty of time testing these because an over looked exploit could destroy a shard over night.

That being said is there a way to easily "count" these tokens? Could it have been happening slowly...over many weeks?
 
Well, i tracked down the player. I found he still had over 300 million tokens in his Daats. He had purchased multiple copies of all the server donation items. I had a way folks could use tokens to purchase donation items so if they played hard they could get the good equipment and pets without having to pay. Either way, that whole concept is in stasis.

Powerball is legit!
 
-Buy shovels from vendor, add to resource key and take out a shovel with one charge at a time.
-Trash shovels and get tokens.
-Turn tokens in each for 500 gold each.

No, it wasn't me who did the bug with buying donation coins but that's probably how they did it.
Recently figured it out myself
