Hello!
I am .NET developer. And I would like to offer my services as a specialist for the development and promotion of the Ultima Online servers. Willing to consider variant any complexity.

Have rich experience in the development and administration of servers Ultima Online, mostly OSI direction, the last 8 years. Unfortunately I don't have open-source projects that you would be able to assess the quality of my work, but I can guarantee you a quality work, support and comfortable conditions for cooperation.

Maybe someone familiar with my previous projects:
Age of Darkness (AOS 2008-2010),
Mythic World (SA/HS 2010-2013),
Heaven's Gate (HS 2013-2015)

Worked with the following major projects: UOGames, TheAbyss, NovaUO and a number of other, less popular.

My main achievement I think release SA servers in 2010, less than a year later, after his announcement from OSI. Server opened along with RUOSI server, about which probably many have heard, but he could not resist our competition, in consequence of which their players have made a choice in favor of our servers.

Since 2010, I supervise RunUO RU Community direction, helped beginners to open their way in this direction.

If you are interested in my offer and you are ready to start cooperate, I will be glad to discuss with you the details.

So, I am looking for a deed that can place the dryad calm ability on a weapon that works similar to hit fireball on a weapon that would add 1% for it to go off for 3 seconds capped at 15% on a weapon.

I'd like someone to make a few scripts for me - do you charge by the hour or how does that work?

Simple system for PvM arena
NPC
you designate an arena area
a player can click the NPC to get an explanation, and to select spawn type, and pay the fee
once fee is payed and type chosen, player gets teleported in arena area
then monsters spawn in waves when all creatures are killed a new wave begins, wave 1, wave 2, wave 3
once all waves are cleared, player gets teleported out and given prize
if the player dies, he is resurrected outside the arena area (with all items and loot intact)

ideally, this could have a score table showing how far a player went in the past.

if you could do this for me, i wouldn't mind it being open source for you to show off after... what kind of cost would you charge?

I work at an hourly rate. Large projects can be considered under additional conditions.

according to the current description can be done quite quickly and inexpensively.
Contact me at the specified contacts in the head topic and we will be able to discuss the details.

guy is a bit expensive n busy so ur project will be on delay least a week b4 he starts (usually a sign of a lazy scripter milking the clock) i got quated 100 hrs for basic scripts out of github....roflmao which is 75% copy paste work alrdy done for him. i personally would not suggest this guy and save urself some time...plenty of fish in the sea and alot of hungry scripters out there.

Unfortunately, you jumped to conclusions or simply misunderstood me.
You write to me and said you need about 8 systems, one of which is an automatic event system, a faction system, a magic system, and other smaller bounty-type tasks. From the description of these systems, you only gave the name of the systems themselves, to which I replied that I needed a more detailed description of all these tasks, and gave an example of a qualitative description of the task, because we can understand them in different ways. I also gave you an example of how much an automatic event system would cost from scratch as an example. But you announced a budget of $ 150-200, after which it became clear that some of the global systems we will use from the community and just modif it as you want. However, you did not provide a link to the github and did not introduce me to what you have now from what we could use, and I asked you to describe the tasks in detail so that I could give them a rough estimate.
Also sorry, I have deadlines for current projects, I can not quit current projects, moving to new ones. For this reason, I suggested that you start working next week.

I have been using Juzzver for all the major custom systems for my server and he does a great job. He has been taking longer to start the jobs but that's because other people also hire him to do jobs so of course, he is going to do those jobs before he starts a new order.

This is a field where we can charge quite literally up to and above $100 per hour for our skills.
If you approach a developer and they say they can't begin immediately, that is usually a good thing - it means they're sought-after and they're not willing to push aside prior responsibilities to make a quick buck.
If you want things done, I suggest you settle the attitude otherwise no one will work with you even for a million dollars.

Yup. We pay between $75-$100 an hour for ERP programmers and .Net devs.

The definition of what is expensive and what is not is subjective to the value one places on a service...

...so maybe save yourself some money and do the extra 25% on your own since you are low on gold pieces.

is a joke and and dont deserve that kind of compensation maybe 15 years ago but nowadays u got new generation learning in weeks what took u old timers years. im good u guys can think u can charge that much but ehhh hungrier scriptor out there ive alrdy found sum1 willing to do whole project within 1 week on the side for 200 but thanks for trying to convince ppl that ur prices r right....what a joke..get with the tech times.

I'll repeat myself. You requested estimate of work based on the system names. You were only expected to provide a detailed description of the tasks for which I would be able to evaluate the technical tasks. And since you did not do this, I gave you an example in what style it would be worth to draw up a detailed description of the tasks, otherwise it was not clear whether you need to write systems from scratch or modify them, whether you have something from the developments or not, etc. The announced 100 hours were an illustration of how it can work if you do not describe the tasks in detail, and I will have to come up with everything for you based on the names of the tasks. Although I am sure that here is work for a maximum on a day or two, if you would have bothered to describe the requirements, instead of trying to spoil my reputation and search for "hungry" scripters.

In any case I hope you will be satisfied with the results and there will be one less hungry scriptwriter in our community :).

However I believe that "hungry people" sounds disrespectful to people who are willing to help you for a small fee.

hungry ppl r who find 200 worth their time of 1-2 days work sitting at home working at their own leisure. if im willing to do a job for 10n hour n u want 15 n hour..who u think that employer gonna hire? supply n demand..and scriptors aint scarse nemore. so i strongly encourage ne1 looking for script work to keep your options open and donot take the first scriptor offer...YOU HAVE OPTIONS

If you think programming (properly) is learned in weeks, why didnt you start to learn it yourself? Even if it took you twice as long?

You asked for an estimate, you got one. Take it or leave it. Thats how normal business is done and not spend more time on a forum to literally tell other people how much their time is worth.

If you want to make all the systems from scratch? You think 1-2 days work is enough? Its not just writing down some lines and be done.
You need to test it especially if your charge for it.

So basically you're taking advantage of people who are desperate to feed themselves...
I'll just say what everyone is thinking... You're a piece of shit, sir.

You don't go around berating someone because you don't like the price, or you're too cheap to pay up.
You have zero skills, you have zero expertise to decide what that time and skill is worth.
You can't even assess whether you're getting offers from competent programmers because you simply lack any skill in the field.

Shopping around for the best deal is normal, but you're going the extra step to humiliate yourself by attacking others for no reason.
None of the developers I know worth their salt would have approached you for work after this ignorant display.

You exude every quality of a stereotypical choosing beggar.

Kick rocks, bud.

Juzzver, keep up the good work :)

Thank you for your support, guys! I really appreciate it!

I always try to do my job efficiently + inexpensively and find compromises in any situation. Even if the budget is limited.
Since the creation of this topic, I have worked with more than 30 projects, both large and small, and to this day I support many of them. And for all the time, this is the first negative review from a person with whom we did not even have time to discuss working conditions, he did not provide a technical task and decided for some reason to spoil my reputation here. I understand that it was a simple misunderstanding, but looking at his answers, I see that we speak different languages. The pleasure of working with such a person is really not enough, not to mention who the performers are in his eyes, to whom he turns for help... I'm glad he passed me by.

Bravo Sir calling horses asses a horses ass . He is a crybaby I want but to cheap to pay .

Then as typical these days resorted to insults an smearing someone's reputation because he thought might get him his wish .

Would have been differant story had he paid up an then did not receive what was promised I am sure if his emploeer had told him you have to work twice the hours for half pay would be boo hoo'ing but expects others to smile at a similar offer .

Nothing to add but to show my support and to mimic exactly what Voxpire said. There is a reason you have some of the best people in the community saying this. Your attitude sucks. If you don't like his quote, go someplace else. Don't go all Karen and bash them on the internet. He clearly gets business and has people vouching for his quality of work. Honestly, working with dick heads isn't worth the money anyway.

100% vouch for @Juzzver 's work. He is quick, communicative, and really goes above and beyond to get whatever your needs are done in a timely and clean method for your server. Very nice human. Very good at coding. And explains everything he does in detail. A+++++++++

Hired Juzzver couple times. Very skilled and open minded person, who not only does his job, but always doing some extra to explain everything to me. Appreciate your work. Looking forward to work with you.

I'm gonna chime in here and agree 100%. @Juzzver is AWESOME at what he does. He's a great human being too.

He got my projects done in a timely manor, and took extra time to explain what he did and how I could customize it further.

You will not be disappointed if you work with him!

Juzzver is an excellent developer who worked on my client project. He completed the project in a much shorter time than I expected and delivered it. He recorded video documentation for every addition and modification he made, explaining them in detail. He answered every question I had. I want to thank him again. I hope to work with him again in the future. I highly recommend him. If you have projects that need to be done, Juzzver is the person for the job!

Juzzver is an excellent programmer. He has already completed several projects for me, and he undoubtedly does them perfectly. Don't pay attention to the absurd comments. If you are thinking about working with him, definitely do it and see it with your own eyes. If you can imagine it, Juzzver can do it, no doubt."

how hard would it be to create a custom quest system? For example tie multiple quests to the same npc through a gump. Scroll through a list of quests based on reward and difficulty. Ehh?! WHAT SAY YOU SIR :D

It sounds simple. The standard quest system already includes all the necessary conditions, such as the goal, reward, progress status. It's sufficient to add a difficulty level, consolidate them into a common interface, and sort them as you find convenient, +displaying the rewards.

However, the task is clearly not fully articulated. It will be necessary to add a filter for completed quests so that the player doesn't encounter duplicates, possibly even a timer with list refreshing for generating new quests, etc. Depending on the conditions, the complexity of the task may increase.

I would pay good money for a nice custom quest system. I've thought about doing it myself but I have absolutely no free time right now.

Hmm well maybe there is a simpler way? I was thinking something not tied into the quest system at all. Just something to get you started like a key to a lock. The lock being the next npc. so the npc could list quests by name when you say "talk" near it and then the verbal commands would be like... "CavernsOfDispair,LakeOfFire,StashInTheRift,Etc" then you just type it in (case sensitive if possible). Then you type it and boom you get the quest in the form of a deed. The deed opens and has text telling you what to do next. Usually a collection type of quest like sheeps wool, human ears, human heart, etc. This would be interesting as the keys could be lost and found or stolen and used by another player. I think the simpler the better for piece of mind. It could all be coded in such a way that whole quests could be created in the script or test data with a notepad editor. Npc placement might be an issue like it might need a simple generator that we could use that will auto generate created characters in the script as script for adding into the server so we dont have to manually create character scripts. That alone would unlock massive fun for everyone who takes part in the quests. So PKs can not only rob you of your loot but your progress on a journey (screw the original system).

ps an item generator would be greate too to go with the script so... Main script / npc / item gens
