34 years ago, a 10 year old girl received a letter from Soviet Leaders inviting her to the USSR, after she wrote a letter to the head of state worrying about nuclear warfare, and asking why the Soviet Union wanted to declare nuclear war?
She accepted the invitation, and having received lots of media coverage, she became a tool to ease the tension between the USSR and USA.
She unfortunately died in a plane crash a little more than 2 years after.
