UO Outlands is a T2A era shard with a fully custom map launching on October 27, 2018 after nearly 3 years of development and more than a year long intensive beta period. Our mission from the onset has been to create a version of Ultima Online which enhances every aspect of gameplay, creating a shard which we believe emulates how Ultima Online should have always been had it stayed the course.

Outlands is pretty unique and fun. If you have not checked it out I recommend you do. I had a blast there during beta!

I did play on this for a couple of days.

The level of customisation here shows that UO doesn’t have any limits.

The level of detail here is second to none.

An epic T2A shard worth checking.

To be clear, I don't play Outlands but it looks great! But I do watch Carl's streams when he plays and I noticed that one particular session had two players crash at different times. Some have mentioned that you guys added some custom music to your particular server. If that is the case, maybe double check your encoding for the custom music.

For years, my particular shard would randomly crash on players and we never knew why. I stumbled upon a thread less than a year ago where someone was talking about custom music and how to add it. One person made a comment about encoding or else you get random crashes at unusual times. The song crashing the game may not crash it later on...as an example. Because of this behavior, it took me years to figure out it was my custom music causing the problem. After re-encoding all of my custom music, none of us has had a crash since.

Not sure if this is even related to anything I saw on Carl's video...but I wanted to mention it anyway.

I finally logged in to check out Outlands. Owyn, the map is incredible! Well done, indeed. Fantastic work all around.
