Hey guys,

I'm excited to be here. I used to do some scripting, gm'ing, and playing back on a server called Arcodia: New Dawns in the early 2000's under the name Solonar and GM Galahad. Either way, I have'nt really played with Ultima since around 2008. Recently, some of my long time friends, who I've known since the early days of great lakes, and I have had a renewed interest in UO. So I am hoping to start my own little private server for my group. Around the time I stopped playing, I know Ryan Macadams and his team at RUNUO were still trying to get tokuno coded.

Anyways, my hope is that servUO will allow me and my friends experience all of the post tokuno content, as well as allow me to jump in and start writing custom scripts.

I heard a rumor that alot of the more recent UO server software packages allows mobile clients as well as enhanced clients? Is this true? Any info about that would be appreciated.

Last question, is there a section with an archive of custom scripts and plugin projects? Hoping to find, or last resort code myself a custom pet leveilng/breeding system as well as a casino/gambling/slots system. These were all things we used to have back on Arcodia that I'd like to add in again as well.

There's no such thing as a mobile client that I'm aware of. There is a custom client called ClassicUO that's very popular. It uses the real client's data files but the rendering is all new.

EA's own Enhanced client does work with ServUO but it's still got minor issues like gumps don't always display correctly. The artwork is nice. I don't use it because there's zero support for customizing so no gump edits or even cliloc entries.

You're going to be disappointed with the current ServUO if you want addons. You'll need to go pull the previous version from before the ability to customize things was removed. I was going to point to the thread where the big change was announced but like too many posts here, the whole damn topic is deleted now.

There's a giant button at the top that says Resources for all the customs you'd want to add. I've spent a year integrating OWLTR resources (part time of course; it's a hobby, not a job!) and it's a bigger job than you might think. Same with animal taming / bio pets -- just look for FS-ATS.

You may also want to look through the shard archives section. It's zips of entire shards, ready to run, so you can see how they did something or just begin with one of them as your base.

I saw an earlier version of that and it was just in proof-of-concept at that point. It's interesting but I guess I'm just not coordinated enough to navigate UO in that fashion.

Yeah, I believe @Voxpire removed the post due to what it was turning in to. I did not remove it.
