    Nope animal slot can go in any anim.mul file you just have to call them out in the mobtypes.txt file 34 ANIMAL 0 # and make sure they are in a L animation slot each anim.mul file has slots for H, L, P the p is for people and equipment H is for High animations, monsters L is for low...

    Also when importing animations the bodyvalue your using make sure that in the mobtypes.txt file that the classification isnt using special animations for monsters like spell casting most animations that come from older games dont have these types of animations. should look someting like this...
