Even thought i dont understand your issue i will try to answer it. As far i know there is no leaked Steam source. Razor yes but not Steam. If you want to know how to edit things client sided, there will be no clear answer, because most of us dont program our own graphical client to change...

You could add a service which generate data on worldsave and store to a folder. Then you do calculations you like and store a datasheet. There also could be an ample system which sends "warning mails" to you if certain things happen. Then you can instantly login and handle the issue.

I currently checking this issue since i want a working compendium as well. My travel yet leads to "CompendiumPageEditor.cs" into function "CompileLayout" there it gets a snapshot of current selected entry which has not been updated. I currently try to find why it not updates and then we will see :)

I use the stealth client. There are client sided commands you can send via prefix. in stealth.cfg you can set a CMDPrefix from , to anything else (because , is for chat on ea). I use ! as prefix and then can use commands described here : http://stealth.od.ua/Doc:Manual/Graphic_Client/Commands .
