Hello All. I'm quite happy to learn that this community exists and seems to be very active. I'm an IT Industry veteran with various skills including Linux and C programming. I'm an old-school UO player, used to run a PK guild in Catskills back in the day. LPmud owner / coder before that.
I've just setup ServUO on a freshly updated ArchLinux system using LXC containers. Everything works "out of the box" as of December 2024. The README.md via github is fairly straight forward, getting to this point was mostly easy.
However.... within the first 48 hours so far, I've not been able to find a WIKI or "new administrators" guide that explains basic things. I discovered the [helpinfo command after reading through forums here. Though it has a handy list of all admin commands and their syntax, there's no examples or explanations that I can find.
Random noobie questions:
* Is there a ServUO admin beginner's guide or WIKI anywhere ?
* Is there an API reference or a basic "hello world" tutorial on how to build add code to one's private shard?
* Is there a beginner's guide or examples of how to customize one's world?
* What client is the best to use with ServUO? I"m using UOClassic (. EU) ... its pretty vanilla, no hot keys, etc?
Note that I don't plan to run a public shard, I'm just doing this for myself and a couple of friends from the good ole UO days

ServUO Version? How do I find this out? It's a fresh "git clone" as of December 28th 2024. I'm choosing "Publish 58"
Ultima Expansion? No idea. I downloaded the official client, ran it, let it go thorugh updates / patches -- the installed ClassicUO and pointed it to the same data directory as I did ServUO. I'm choosing "endless journey"
