communicating with origin

Hi everyone

Having an issue with friends connecting to my shard. When they try to login they get error message on the client.

There is a problem communicating with the origin. Please restart UO.

Any thoughts on what's going on.
 
  1. Navigate to Control Panel, System and Security and Windows Firewall.
  2. Select Advanced settings and highlight Inbound Rules in the left pane.
  3. Right click Inbound Rules and select New Rule.
  4. Add the port you need to open and click Next.
    For sure open port 2593.

Check the Config folder for datapath was it set there correct? Also be sure you have given the correct IP and port to those trying to connect.
With a Router you may need to go online-sign in and add your server there
You also checked Is My Port Open?
 
Found out that my friend didn’t let his client talk through his firewall. Once he did that all good. And he was forgetting to type his password in for first login with steamuo cuz he had the save password enabled
