Crystal Gate (Old school POL free shard)

I’m looking for anyone , who may know anyone that used to make scripts for this old free shard.

It was my favorite shard when I was in my early 20’s. If anyone knows anyone that used to play there, or knows of a shard that is similar to it I would be extremely grateful.

Hello, I played Crystal Gate back around 1998-2005 +\- My brother pointed me to your post, and i thought I would say hello. I didnt fight, like at all, mainly sold full spellbooks runebooks and magic Jewelry.

My wife and I also played Crystal Gate so much! I do miss it. I miss the rulesets that CWO and maybe Gman had come up with. The custom jewelry, mining, blacksmith, crafting in general was really well thought out. I haven't found a gaming experience anywhere near close to it since. I've been tempted to try and duplicate it myself, but it would all be done by memory. It would never be the same.

Oh Acid! HEY HEY! I recognize you! We all hung out together in IRC. You just vanished one day, we all thought you either hated us or something happened to you. It's good to hear from you! We kept in touch with Knives, Storm and Hemswal for a bit until everyone finally gave up on CG and moved on. I swear, that Knives would steal anything wouldn't he?

EDIT: Definitely need to add Noc to that list too. I'm still friends with most of them on other social media, don't really play anything together anymore though.

Oh yeah, good old IRC days. Was definitely not you guys, had a lot of family issues. Can't remember specifics but just kinda dropped out. I have nothing but fond memories of you all and have missed those days a lot.

Played some other MMOs after but nothing ever beat CG. I tried later versions of the game but it never felt the same.

You were fiddling around with a Dark age of Camelot server back then, right? Sooo dope.

I think you are right, I did play a little DAoC. Never anything like I played Ultima. I guess the closest thing I could find to Ultima was actually ArcheAge, but that turned into a Pay 2 Win mess and I had to force myself to quit. Nothing else has come close to the community we were able to build in CG.
