i noticed server 2008 and 12 are big bucks but what about Windows Home Server 2011 how would that be for a uo server?

Hi there!

Skip any windows server OS they only give you an huge increase in save time. Ive tested all OS i could get my hands on and the best (believe it or not) is windows 7 Ultimate...

If your just gonna run the server you dont need anything more than Windows7. Home server is fine also but if your not using it for anything else, why spend the money.

Hehe, frankie beat me to it! Didn't see your message when I posted. Agree totally!

@SomeDude I could be wrong but I am pretty sure you can run with Mono on Linux as well if money is a problem.

I am using Server 2008 R2 as my server and it works great, I do plan on deploying a shard website and such as well with it. But honestly as long as the machine has enough power to run the server software and do everything else you want it shouldn't matter what OS you use.
