Old man here. Played Uo in 1997 to about 2002? I quit after publish 16. Absolutely hate the changes from then to now. I have a custom map with 13 kingdoms and 36 small villages and over 100 dungeons. Yeah, you read that right. I have so much unique content I still stumble on things and think holly hell I forgot about that. Anyway, just wanted to say hello

Ultima IV - Quest of the Avatar.
UO Beta Test crew July 97. (You think Fel is Hell?)
95% deaths attributed to the laaaaaag monster.
Battle of Trinsic - "GUARDS!" "They are not coming dude, get up and fight...." (Made a friend I knew for years and years: Miss you Stormtiger)
Bank Sitters [AFK]
Spawn campers
IDOC DOWN!!!
What the hell is a "a jwilson....." EWWWWW
Those little Rocks you used to plant to go from Tram to Fel and back. (What were those called?)
UO GM cartoons ~ "I am sorry m'lord, I'm afraid I cannot help thee with that" >CORP POR!! CORP POR!!< My gawd those were hilarious...
Need help? Stratics? Need a canned answer, Page a GM.
Purple sigil Items and Smelting Deed/Ingot exploits running for months. (How much for that Silver Spear of Vanquishing? 250 million GP?)
The horror of UO Meetups...
I still have my copy of the original Brothers Hildebrandt book (Lord of the Ring fame and then UO art)

Epic *sigh*

The lag monster was real, it had 56k stats,
I heard the Asians did the best and actually won, Europe was the worst and fell the fastest!
Bank Sitting has never been the same
campers, oh those campers, what more can be said, the art thrives today!
IDOC till 911, sad day, I was at Brit bank when I heard the news!
jwilson my favorite slime!
"Moonstones"
The cartoons or UO Mini Series
Stratics still the best source of info
Purple Llama anyone? lol
UO Meetups brought the lag monster!
I lost all my UO stuff in a few moves over the years! =[ "Still have the memories" =D

Killing Nobles (later they spawned their own escorts if you attacked them), Ocolo and Haven banks were the furthest building in North East corner, Nobles and contract vendors faced north, Server lines, Invisibility items from t-chests. 8 x 8, fishing, guild wars, good times indeed
I actually played the Ultima series (remember the dump, er I mean village of Paws) on my Atari 800 in 1984 and was soooo stoked when it went online.

Paws.... Good lord. If you hadn't said that I wouldn't have remembered that little place at all. Had to look it up in truth, but totally remembered the story line when I read:

~Those wounded by fate or circumstance have been banished to Paws, wherein they may live among themselves. The mayor of Britain , who championed this standard, claims victory. The spread of disease, he says, has reduced. Theft has decreased. The economy has grown. Yet, the mayor does not lack opponents. Among the splintered families grows a disquietude that the mayor has sought to silence.

Did a little research. Methinks you can find the remains of Paws here. And if Ultima Lore is correct...

Perhaps the Body of Aidon (1830 2414) and his Daughter Meribeth (1824 2422) are still in the graveyard there.....

Had an Atari (2600?) back in the day, but Ultima for me started on an Apple IIe. (Please insert Disk 5 to continue.... ~whirrrrrrrr~ You have died....)

Samhayne Is Innocent!!

My Map
No public gates, instead move around going to the docks and saying the name of the city you want to go to. 13 Major cities with 3 small villages per major city. Aessonnia is 100% ruined buildings from a historical battle and Paws is in the jungle surrounded by orcs. Some of my favorite places were recreated, Haven, Skara Brae, hedge maze and some dungeon areas.

Sweet....

You are so that dude who sat in the back of the class endlessly doodling a map to a kingdom that no one else knows... Well... until now that is.

That is a brilliant looking map. So this land of yours will be going live when?

Don't know if it will ever go live, I am actually pretty computer stupid and not sure I would know how to do that. I haven't finished the area of Lantis. Everything else is done.

Hmmmm.... Good point.

I Wonder where one might find some mutually minded UO geeks that could answer such geekness...

[whispers] Bro... You're already here....

I should have a UO business set up in your Lantis... Travel business with the email address...

*Bah dah Tisssssshhhh*

Lantis.jpgLantis.jpgThis is Lantis, looks like Rome or Greece, even has a bathhouse, aqua duct and colosseum that spawns brigands. You should be at Lantis.

....For those about to die... we salute you....

I just noted on your large map a little city called Kreuznach. I've walked across die alte Nahebrücke once... long long ago.)

I lived in BK from 1977 to 1984. One of my daughters lives there now. Here's a picture I drew of the old bridge. Oh, I also took the liberty of restoring the old castle back to what it once was based on an old postcard.BK Bridge.jpg

Aessonnia, the city of the dead.

OK... this is getting a little spooky.....
Was in BK from 73 to 76. Was only 9 when I left, But I remember the castles. Everywhere.... Castles. Fields of grapevines... The first time I saw the Rhine... I can distinctly remember thinking to myself all those years ago.... "This is a River?...... Its so... big....." ....while I watch several ships and boats go to and fro.

How cool. We walked the same streets in Europe and now here we are. I have several recent photos from BK, I went back 2 years ago for my daughters wedding. My real name is Giuseppe Vinante you can find me on FB.
