Endless Journey
Hello! I recently found this wonderful community after deciding to get back into UO and emulation. I was a Counselor on Atlantic back in the 1999-2000 timeframe and briefly ran a private shard using RunUO circa 2003. Feels good to be back in game.

I'm in the process of setting up my shard, and am having a few issues with staff robes and titles. I didn't see a prior forum thread directly on point, so thought I'd post here for help.

My issues are twofold:

1. Owner Robe Hue
My goal is to have the following for my owner character:
  • White Staff Robe (ideally Hue 1153)
  • Gold trim on the robe visible in game and on paperdoll
  • Normal skin tone as set at character creation visible in game and on paperdoll
I have set the following in "Staff.cfg", and have changed all instances of the "Staff.Owner" hue in GMbody.cs from the default 1001 to 1153:

#General configuration for gmbody-command
Staffbody=True
UseColoring=True
GiveBoots=False
CutHair=True
CutFacialHair=False

#Coloring configuration
Owner=1153
Developer=1001
Administrator=1001
Seer=467
GameMaster=39
Counselor=3

Unfortunately, that causes my entire character, skin and all, to turn white in the game world after running the GMBody command, rather than just parts of the staff robe:

What I'm looking for is essentially the below - gold trim and normal skin tone in the game world - but with the grey parts of the robe white:

Appreciate any guidance on how to make that adjustment using the default files, if possible.

2. Staff Titles
Is there a way to get a title to appear before my character's name in the paperdoll? Back when I was a Counselor, my character's name read as "Counselor Lord [Name]" on the paperdoll. I can get the "Lord" part by setting my character's fame high enough, but wondered is there is a way to include a staff title before it.

Thank you for any guidance you can offer, and apologies if I'm missing guidance somewhere!

Add 32768 to your hue values this will set flag for partial hue so only grey pixels will be colored.

So 1153 + 32768 = 33921
