So I have a team of guys ready to begin an ambitious shard project. One of the most important aspects will be a profession (not class) system for accumulating gold that is not tied or loosely tied to skills. We were wondering where we should begin to create the system? Admittedly im the worst one to be posting this, the one with the least scripting experience. However if anyone has a suggestion of how to get this into the game any help would be appreciated. An example of what I'm talking about:

A player wants to make money as a farmer, they would go to a npc farmer and take a job as a farmer and purchase a plot of land for planting. Player would plant seeds, water and harvest them. Then sell these plants to npcs or players and make gold off of that. Additionally a weekly salary would be generated into their bank based on theit production.

Any ideas on how to start scripting an idea like this?
