New and Need Detailed Description of EVERYTHING

Hello all! I am just starting at UO and ServUO. I have absolutely no knowledge of how to do this and the other threads on the forum were of no good use to me. I need an in-depth step-by-step guide of how to start the server and how to connect to it. Thank you!
 
If you are just starting with UO you might want to look at our Shard List and visit one of their sites. They usually have a guide on how to connect. Play the game and get to know it a bit. Once you have a handle on that the instructions here might make a little more sense.
