Hi,

I'm having this little problem (and I don't really know if it is a script issue - please move the thread if not) with actual shadows that NPCs and players should cast.

Like on this screenshot, every creature casts a shadow and everything looks good:

In my game, no shadows are displayed and it may seem like a minor issue, but it really is annoying -- especially with greater NPCs like dragons. It looks like they're floating in the air.


Do you guys have any idea of what might be the reason of my problem?

What UO client are you using?

Are you using ServUO?

If you are using ServUO what version? Most up to date repo? (yesterday)
 
Try updating to the newest real UO client. Their are 2 more above that.

Do you use the newest repo? The one that gets updated daily
 
to my knowledge mobile shadows were removed back in client version 6's
unless they added them back to the newest client
 
We've got some core and script customizations, so no repo, but I'm sure our scripts and custom adjustments don't interfere with mobile shadows, so it must be a client issue.

I'll try updating to 7.0.52.2 and see if it works, but if they really removed mobile shadows back in version 6's it would be a bummer.
