Code HOW TO: Run a ServUO Server and View / Edit with Visual Studio

I ran a live stream last night on twitch, the first 15 minutes go over getting EVERYTHING you need to set up a ServUO server from the very beginning. Also, a couple super important Visual Studio hotkeys that will make your life way easier when digging through the code (or any code)! After that...

Is there anyone have a problem with UOLive?

This was a long time ago... But I'm remembering now that it seems to have been related to the Huffman compression/decompression of the pingack packet which, because it is such a small packet, I seem to remember the decompression scheme gettin off while processing a stream of packets that...

Is there anyone have a problem with UOLive?

I found (because it seemed somehow related to pingack sent from the server), that if I simply did not send a pingack (this happens in the pingreq packethandler) that I didn't have the freezing problem anymore. Clients can no longer get a ping time but it might be a temporary solution (if you had...

Is there anyone have a problem with UOLive?

I had a highly modified server that included the UltimaLive map streamer, I found that clients were freezing in a manner like you describe-- specifically I found that as soon as the client sent a ping request packet to the server (and the server sent a pingack), they froze and stopped responding...

HOW TO: Run a ServUO Server and View / Edit with Visual Studio

Thanks :) videos sure make things less intimidating, though eventually you learn (usually hard way) that most things must be figured out through the "rtfm" approach :)... Assuming there is reasonably good documentation somewhere, that is!

Rel Por reboot development live on Twitch!

Thanks! I hope to finish the loot system this evening. I started last night's broadcast with a demo of how to get ServUO up and running, I'll probably post the YouTube video of it as a tutorial for interested individuals :)

Rel Por reboot development live on Twitch!

Hey all, it's mobOfMonsters from Rel Por last time around (or Alan from UOForever a couple years ago) So The Rel Por crew (including myself) are working on rebooting the server in a couple months or so, and I figured some of you folks at ServUO might be interested in a live stream of some...

    Greetings

My name is Alan. I developed for Rel Por and now develop for UO Forever. I'm interested in seeing how ServUO has extended RunUO :). I look forward to checking it out.
